Corporate Tax Planning & Computations

Income tax computations, provisional estimates, capital allowances and lawful tax planning.

Key facts
Standard rate30%
Alternative minimum tax1% of turnover after 3 years of tax losses
Provisional tax4 instalments: months 3, 6, 9 and 12

At 30%, corporate income tax is usually your largest tax cost, and errors in estimates, capital allowances or deductibility rules are expensive. We prepare defensible tax computations, set provisional tax at the right level to avoid underestimation penalties, and plan transactions lawfully: incentives, loss utilisation, dividend timing and group structures.

What's included

Applying reduced rates, TIC incentives and exemptions you are entitled to, and documenting them.

Planning distributions under the new 15% deemed-dividend rule and withholding tax on dividends.

Frequently asked

If a company has perpetual unrelieved tax losses for the current year and the two before it, it pays 1% of turnover even though it has no taxable profit. Agricultural, health and education companies are among those exempt.

The Commissioner General may now deem only 15% (previously 30%) of undistributed profits as distributed. Listed companies, financial institutions and insurers are excluded.
